Spots Therapy is not just for elite atletes or professional, its for everybody!

Sports massage therapy is more then just for athletes, Sports massage is focused on improving quality of life by treating soft tissue, helping to reduce your pain and aid in recovery after an injury.

Sports massage therapy incorporates many varied techniques used by a number of physiotherapists, osteopaths as well as medical professionals who do not always have enough time to treat soft tissue injury. Sports massage therapy increases blood flow and lymph drainage in order speed up recovery and improves your range of motion by helping to ease tension within your soft tissue.

So what does a session involve?

Sports massage sessions include a warming-up with effleurage, soft tissue relaxation and getting you ready for much deeper work. Including rubbing, compression, longitudinal & cross-fibre friction, stretching to improve flexibility (PIR/IR & Soft-Tissue Release) and Trigger point therapy (helping to untie those knots).

If you are still unsure if Sports massage therapy will help you please feel free to contact me or If you would like a Face to Face why not Book a FREE 15 minute consultation where we can sit and discuss your problem and how I can help you. With the option to continue with a treatment or come back another day.

What do I wear?

What ever feels comfortable.

During an assessment you will be required to remove your top, shoes and socks. It is recommended that you bring a pair of shorts with you to wear during the assessment.

Ladies no sports bras, just a standard bra and if you can have your hair tied up please.

Why do i need shorts and to remove my top?

During the assessment it is required to remove your top, shoes and socks and ware shorts (& bra) in order for the therapist to be able to better assess your posture, range of motion and joint movement with no obstruction or posture modification from shoes.
